info	:	This is a workbench light made from a string of 100 LED Christmas lights. I run it from the mains when hung over my bench with neo magnets but it also runs on my portable Joule Thief power box. I will make another video just about the portable JT power box. Thanks for watching.

steve p.	:	Are the Christmas lights the 3 wire style led lights? While trying mine in this fashion they will not light, as all mine are running in series. I only have a 50 light strand and it has a diode and a 3ohm resister in series.

Gadget mall	:	:) Nice Job Bill. I see a lot are following my lead . I have a new circuit and getting ready for market investors are hitting me by the thousand. Already gone commercial production and projected sales are over 1000000 the first year with me owning 51 % of my company ! We can light 24 / 7 over 11000 lumens for stadiums and parking lots plus ships and lawns . new system has no batteries at all.Maybe i will come see you once i am totally cured and made by first billion.
Pirate Labs	:	You are exactly correct. I started hacking those solar lights about 3 years ago when I was able to get some on sale in the fall for like $2.00 (US) each. Great solar cell and driver circuit, a photocell, and a rechargeable battery and a tophat LED. You could not buy any of the single components for what I purchased the entire light for. Those cone shaped reflectors are pretty ingenious also. Bill
egn83b	:	One avenue you should really check out is the garden lights. Replace the single led with as many as you want in parallel. I have few garden lights that I have drilled holes in and added about 12 more leds and it runs about the same brightness as the regular single light did. I had this setup for about a year now going in my front yard and still going strong. Ebay you can buy 100 clear leds for 5 bucks.
